what we said (Hover the mouse cursor over underlined words for more info)
The main source of information in this story about a new drug to treatment melanoma, comes from a patient taking part in a research trial. While that adds a human aspect to the story, it is only anecdotal information and takes up space that could have been used to report important information about this research. We aren't told the strength of evidence behind the research or if the drug is available outside the trials. An independent medical expert would have added a great deal to the story.
